Eli Shapiro is a writer, director, comedian, and person. His award-winning short film “Ike Interviews God” was a Vimeo Staff Pick, featured in numerous publications and reviews online including Short of the Week, and has played at festivals around the world.

Eli has written for television on the Lifetime Movie Network series “I Love You But I Lied.” His writing has received honors and distinctions, including being a quarterfinalist in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science’s prestigious Nicholl Fellowship, as well as winning the King Award in Screenwriting.

A graduate of NYU Tisch with a BFA in film and television, Eli has worked in production on shows like “Louie” (FX) and “They Came Together” (Lionsgate). Since starting out as a 14 year-old stand up comic in New York City, Eli has moved to Los Angeles, where he can be seen around doing a pretty decent Woody Allen impression.
