Eli Shapiro is a writer, director, comedian, and person. His award-winning short film “Ike Interviews God” was a Vimeo Staff Pick, featured in numerous blogs and reviews including Short of the Week, and has played in festivals around the world.

Eli has written for television on the Lifetime series “I Love You But I Lied," co-wrote a pilot for Poker Central, and earned distinctions, as a quarterfinalist in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science’s prestigious Nicholl Fellowship, and winner of the King Award in Screenwriting.

Since starting out as a 14 year-old stand up comic in New York City, Eli graduated from NYU Tisch with a BFA in film and television, and has worked in production on things like “Louie” (FX) and “They Came Together” (Lionsgate). He is based in Los Angeles.
